NAZARETH, Pa. – The Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania is ramping up his campaign.
Dave McCormick stopped in Nazareth Wednesday, at the Phoenix Club.
He was joined by former U.S. Department of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos.
They were there for a “Moms for Liberty” event, where they discussed the current state of education, recent Title IX changes, and the future of girls’ sports.
McCormick made his stance clear on the issue of transgender student athletes.
“As a father of six daughters, this one just resonates with me so much. The very idea that you would allow biological males to compete with biological females is fundamentally unfair,” McCormick said.
Democratic Sen. Bob Casey has previously emphasized his support for transgender athletes.
McCormick and Casey will face off in the general election in November.
