2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), campaigned at a rally in Atlanta. The former president criticized his new rival, Democratic presumptive presidential nominee Kamala Harris, about issues such as immigration and transgenderism and said, “she’s a dumb version of Bernie Sanders and, actually, further left than him.” Vice President Harris became the presumptive nominee soon after President Biden withdrew from the presidential race. Mr. Trump also criticized Georgia Republican officials, Gov. Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, over the 2020 election results, calling Gov. Kemp “disloyal” about the matter. close
